About Survival Jobs

Typically Student /new comers in Canada start their early job with survival jobs.

 

Survival Job: Typically a low-end low-paying job that a displaced job-seeker takes on a temporary basis (often as a last resort) when unemployed to cover basic living costs in order to survive.

But there's no doubt that a survival job can help pay the bills for a little while, until you get your career on track. And it can also give you the chance to practice your English, learn about Canadian culture, meet new people - and get Canadian experience.

5.    Stock Clerk/ Cashier: Grocery and drugstore chains always need people

6.    security jobs ( Ministry issued license)

This includes working as a:
·         security guard
·         concierge
·         bodyguard
·         bouncer
·         or loss prevention employee

Steps to get security guard license:


  • Ensure you meet all requirements for an Ontario Security License.
  • Complete a 40 hour security license training program with a First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Get your Training Completion Number.
  • Register to and pass the Security Guard Test.
  • Apply for your Ontario Security Guard License.


  
7.       Warehouse
Responsibilities
·         Preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule

·         Receiving and processing warehouse stock products


·         Performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits
